About the Event:
After less than a month of communicating our message through auto-rickshaw posters, street pole kiosks, and the Internet, it’s time for some direct action! On Saturday, 2nd May, all of our campaigners and activists plan to go to the national headquarters of various political parties. We will not indulge in any rabble-rousing, our banners will do the shouting and sloganeering for us. We will present a letter to the party functionaries, and ask them if they were willing to give us Swaraj if they came to power. We will distribute our pamphlets to everyone in the offices, and try to meet the leaders.
One man shouting makes no noise at all, while the silence of a thousand people is deafening. We need the silence of a thousand people to give voice to the demand for Swaraj. Please join us in this event. If you cannot make it for the entire day, please come for as long as you can manage.
